Stanley Brown was a conceptual artist. His work focused on creating meaningful interactions between the viewer and the piece of art. For this project, Danielle wanted to capture the essence and aesthetic of his work, as well as the idea of moving into nothingness as described by his manifesto. She used green and mustard sparingly to create a dynamic layer that maintained rhythm throughout the composition. She also worked strategically within a grid system to create structured dynamism. In order to create a feeling of vibration in empty space, she chose to layer parts of the manifesto. The kinetic poster brings the manifesto into full view, while preserving its vibrational quality and taking advantage of the central axis absent in the static versions. This project includes a poster, poster zine, and kinetic poster.
