Flexible Identity

This dynamic identity was created as a response to the existing identity of NYCXDESIGN's annual Design Days which showcases designers’ work highlighting innovation and excellence. By creating an alphabet of glyphs, where every letter has six unique characters that are meant to be organized in an open grid, the identity is able to easily extend to multiple branding touchpoints. The goal of the minimal design is to make visual space for the designs exhibited at the event without overpowering them. Viewers are asked to engage in a meaningful way as the configurations of the grid lead to words being organized in multiple configurations not always obvious at first glance.
